Day 5: Yasuda Town to Kōnan City
Walked about 28 km today to get to Kōnan Town and tonight's lodging near Kagami Station.
Spent the entire day walking along the coast, and the majority of the day on a bicycle trail just inside the breakwall.
Today was sunny and hot, but the weather report says it should start to rain sometime tonight and rain through at least noon tomorrow. Hopefully that will change, but I'm not holding my breath.
Some pictures from the walk today.
And me in the pink pajamas they gave me to wear tonight instead of the usual yukata. :-)

Earthquake 2
Another earthquake last night, around 1:30 am. We felt this one, though, and it shook the whole house for a minute, or so.
Breakfast in a half hour and then on the road at 7:00.

Day 4: Nahari to Yasuda Town
Really, really slow day today. The walk to tje base of Temple 27 took only an hour and a half. First thing i did was look for tonight's lodging so i could leave my pack there and climb up to the temple withiout it.
Found the lodging and had coffee, then headed out again at 10:30. Expected the climb up and return to the lodging to take about 5 + hours, but without a pack i was back in the inn at about 2:00--even after eating lunch and killing time at the temple.
After that, i did absolutely nothing the rest of the day. Had dinner at 5:30 and was back in my room at 6:30. As i said, a really slow day.
Saw this really old house among other, newer buildings, during today's walk.
And this interesting Shinto torii on a huge rock on the beach in Yasuda Town whete i'm staying tonight.
A couple pictures of the climb up to the temple. The temple is on the ridge in the background.
After a walk along a 1 1/2 lane farmer's road for awhile, i headed onto the trail up the side of the mountain.
And the inside of the Main Hall ( Hondō) at Temple 27, Kōnomineji.

Day 3: Muroto Misaki to Nahari
Breakfast at 6:30 and on the road just past 7:00. Started out under overcast skies, but within a few hours it was hot and humid under clear blue skys. Felt like it was about 25° this afternoon (77°F)
From there, we began the walk north towards Kōchi City. It was a long day walking along the coast on the old highways, about a half block inland from the current main highway, through one small fishing village after another.
Visited Temples 25 & 26 today. A few pictures of Temple 26, Kongōchōji.
About 28 km (17 mi) brought us to Hotel Nahari, our lodging for the night in the town of Nahari.
Tomorrow we walk to Temple 27 and spend the night at the foot of the mountain.

Day 2: Kaifu To Muroto Misaki
Expected rain all day today but was pleasantly surprised to find it cloudy but rain free in the morning.
Since i could find no rooms between Kaifu and the cape, we had no choice but to train & bus through to the cape. Started with a train from the town of Kaifu to the town of Kan no Ura. Since that is the end of the line, we switched to a bus from there.
We rode the bus to a tourist attraction caled "Meoto Iwa," Couples Rock, which are two rocks that have been together so long (centuries?) that they have officially been married. If you look, you'll see a rope connecting them like a wedding band.
Once there, we got off the bus and walked the last 14 km (8.5 mi) down to Cape Muroto and our lodging at Temple 24. Sure enough, as soon as we got off the bus it started to rain.
Temple 24:
Tomorrow we walk to the town of Nahari.
